Sunrise and Bandai Namco Won’t Let Mecha Anime Die
Fuelled by the toy industry, mecha anime made up a huge part of the 80s and 90s. But as time has gone on, robot toys have fallen by the wayside, with the anime going with it. Mecha still exists, but not at the same level of quantity. But despite the trends changing, Bandai Namco and their animation studio Sunrise are refusing to let this stop them.
