NASA’s Ingenuity Mars Helicopter Celebrated 50 Flights On The Red Planet On April 13, 2023 (Sol 763)
Ingenuity, also called Ginny, is a small robotic helicopter operating on Mars. It is part of NASA’s Mars 2020 mission, along with the Perseverance rover, which landed with Ingenuity attached to its underside on February 18, 2021.
The first flight of the chopper took place on April 19, 2021 (Sol 58).
So far it has successfully completed 50 flights on Mars on April 13, 2023 (Sol 763).
