Cziffra - Liszt - Grand Galop chromatique (live)

Liszt’s legendary reputation as “transcendental virtuoso“ was based primarily on repeated performances of fewer than two dozen compositions written or arranged by himself or by Beethoven, Chopin, Hummel, Rossini, Schubert, or Weber.[28] Among the most frequently played pieces of this primary repertoire were the Grand Galop chromatique, the Hexameron, the arrangement of the Overture “Guillaume Tell“, the Andante final de Lucia di Lammermoor, and the Sonnambula-fantasy.
