Argerich plays Bartók - Piano Sonata, Sz. 80 Audio + Sheet music
Béla Bartók’s barbarian Piano Sonata Sz. 80. Played live by Martha Argerich.
1st mvt: 0:05
2nd mvt: 4:22
3rd mvt: 8:33
Personally, I enjoy Kocsis’ feral vigor in this piece more, but Argerich seem to have a special affinity to Bartók, too (both in this one and Piano Concerto No. 3, for instance). And as a matter of fact, Lang Lang’s performance is very good, too (heresy, I know xD).
p.s.: As far as I know, this is a non-commercial recording and as such, it should be posted onto madlovba3, but somewhy EMI matched this one with a third party content. YouTube is nuts o.O
