Russia’s Yakovlev Design Bureau Ready to Resume Development of Vertical Take-Off Jets 4 and 5th generation technologies developed for other Russian combat aircraft could be applied to a next-gen Russian VTOL jet, including modern avionics and weapons, and they are expected to be carried by either a new Russian aircraft carrier, or a new generation of amphibious assault ships.
