Jessica Chastain returns to TIFF red carpet with ’The Fogiven,’ a drama set in Morocco

(12 Sep 2021) JESSICA CHASTAIN BRINGS ’THE UNFORGIVEN’ TO TIFF Jessica Chastain returned to the Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday (11SEPT2021) with “The Forgiven.“ It’s the first of two films for the Golden Globe winning actress. The film takes place over a weekend in the mountains of Morocco and explores the impact that a random accident has on the lives of local Muslims and Western visitors. While Chastain believes the story differs from the situation in Afghanistan after the U.S. withdrawal and Taliban takeover, she hopes that the humanity is relatable.   “Hopefully when you make a film it can relate to anybody, you know, that’s your goal. I find that as a woman I feel a closeness and a sisterhood with women all over the world. And I hope that anything that I make will somehow connect that even stronger,“ Chastain said.
