This juice contains bicarbonate, which neutralizes acid entering the duodenum from the stomach; and digestive enzymes, which break down carbohydrates, proteins and fats in food entering the duodenum from the stomach. Pancreatitis is inflammation of the pancreas, characterized by upper abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. It has two types: acute and chronic. Gallstones and heavy alcohol use are common causes. Diagnosis involves blood tests and medical imaging. Treatment includes fluids, pain medication, and dietary changes. Pancreatitis affects millions globally and can lead to complications.
