London Brighton Veteran Car Run 2011

A new compilation of the pictures recorded at Hammer Hill, Staplefield, Sussex in November 2011. Captions have been added to identify drivers or entrants and the vehicles. Cars have to complete the 60 mile drive to the seafront at Brighton from Hyde Park in London. They leave in small groups at two minute intervals. The order of departure is a prescribed by the year of the cars and the power of the engines within that year. At three locations along the route, Redhill, Hammer Hill and Clayton Hill, marshals from the All Wheel Drive Club provide a towing service to assist those needing help on the hills. This work is shown in this film. After leaving Hammer Hill cars have a further 16 miles to go in order to complete the run to Brighton.
