MILAN - Just about every Italian celebrity was in the front row for the Dolce Gabbana Spring/Summer 2012 collection show and why not? After all, the premiere Italian label oozed (what else?) Italian! From the sensuality of the stunning models to the bright colors prints of an outdoor market, we know it’s going to one hot summer in Italy next year! Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana took a trip back to southern Italy in the 1950s and imprinted colorful vegetables onto models’ dresses (think eggplants, hot peppers, zucchinis, and tomatoes.) There were also floaty dresses (a DG speciality this season), bandeau tops baring midriffs, crochet shifts, corsets, and skirt suits. There was vibrant color all over the place, but everything seemed to match and worked well together, from the sandals to the garlic clove earrings.
