In 1940, Jerry Robinson drew the first concept sketch of one of the greatest literary villains of all time The Joker. Robinson describes the creation of the exhibit “ZAP! POW! BAM! The Superhero: The Golden Age of Comic Books 1938-1950,“ on display at the Skirball Museum.
