Shouka Tactile Bow Training Session - SeaWorld San Diego - August 28, 2023

Shouka worked on taking a tactile sD (a check mark on her dorsal fin) for bows and also did a few center bows! See below for highlights. There were only two shows today so I had the chance to see several orca training sessions in the show pool! These were around 11:45am-12:15pm and while unpredictable, I usually have luck with these for mornings to almost noon before the first show or towards the end of the day after the last show. I will be uploading these periodically the next few months. 0:00 Shouka does a pod swim 0:33 Shouka approximating towards the tactile bow sD (given visually but she is lined up similarly to how she’d get the tactile sD), then 1:08 she gets the tactile sD but is bridged early 1:42 Shouka tactile bow, for real this time! She does one 3:21 Shouka’s center bow (thumbnail) 4:21 Another tactile bow going the other way, but she is bridged early.
