How do you count 64,000 turtles at once?

Take a trip to Raine Island and join our project team as they prepare to count the single largest congregation of Green Turtles on the planet. Thanks to public donations and key partnerships, we have been able to turn this once hostile environment into a haven for female green turtles to nest each year. The Raine Island Recovery Project has already reported a 100% increase in hatchling rates as science and technology combine on the Great Barrier Reef. The Foundation’s five-year, $ million Raine Island Recovery Project is a partnership with BHP, the Queensland Government, the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority, and the Wuthathi and Meriam Nation (Ugar, Mer, Erub) Traditional Owners the Great Barrier Reef Foundation. 🎥 Footage: Christian Miller
