Behind the Scenes were RARELY seen in 1970’s. This rare find shows the behind the scenes workings of an hour long CBS Special called “The Doris Mary Anne Kappelhoff Special.“ (FULL Musical Posted in Part 2) You’ll see hair, make-up, wardrobe, singers, dancers, directors and producers all working to ready the scenes before they were shot. After the 10 minutes “behind the scenes” you’ll then be able to watch the entire hour long special as it aired on the weekend of April 11 and 12, 1970, on CBS. Doris will be singing a collection of her greatest hits (It’s Magic, Sentimental Journey, Secret Love), Showtunes (Who Will Buy? from Oliver, Hurry, It’s Lovely Up Here from on a Clear Day You Can See Forever), and other pop classics such as Both Sides Now, the 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin’ Groovy) and the Beatles’ Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da. Special guest Perry Como performs Didn’t We and duets with Doris for a nostalgic medley of songs, including Everybody Loves a Lover, Quiet Nights of Quiet Stars, When You Were Sixteen and Let Me Call You Sweetheart.
