This is a CBS Special called “The Doris Mary Anne Kappelhoff Special.” (Part 1 is a rare Behind the Scenes look at this production.) This is the entire hour long special as it aired on the weekend of April 11 and 12, 1970, on CBS. Doris will be singing a collection of her greatest hits (It’s Magic, Sentimental Journey, Secret Love), Showtunes (Who Will Buy? from Oliver, Hurry, It’s Lovely Up Here from on a Clear Day You Can See Forever), and other pop classics such as Both Sides Now, the 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin’ Groovy) and the Beatles’ Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da. Special guest Perry Como performs Didn’t We and duets with Doris for a nostalgic medley of songs, including Everybody Loves a Lover, Quiet Nights of Quiet Stars, When You Were Sixteen and Let Me Call You Sweetheart.
