Dunkirk (2017, dir Christopher Nolan) filming at Weymouth harbour.

A glimpse of the making of Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk (due for release 2017). As a huge fan of Nolan’s work it has been fascinating watching him direct. The film is being shot in IMAX so should be visually stunning. Nolan seems to aim for as much realism in camera as possible (rather than CGI), so the transformation of the area back to the 1940s is impressive. In this video you can see the IMAX camera following actors across the ships, and then Nolan directing one of the actors after they cut.
