Tutorial: How to make custom armour for BG3 - Part 2 TEXTURES
Excuse the drop in production value, but frankly I started filming at like 4 AM and I also don’t understand why I did that.
ANYWAY I hope it was still understandable and somewhat helpful. I realise I didn’t really cover the part about how to make your own MSKcloth but I don’t feel like filming it so here comes a mini tutorial:
In blender, select the mesh that you wish to make a mskcloth for, then go to UV editing. On the right side make sure you have all vertex selected in editmode, on the right side you should see the UV for the mesh. Move your cursor to the left window and select all by pressing a. Then find the drop down menu labeled UV - there you need to find the option called Export UV Layout. Then you can easily open this file in a picture editing format and paint your own mskcloth! Use a basegame mskcloth as your reference for colors. Most of the time though its : red and orange is cloth, blue and purple are leather and green is metal.
Hope that helps!

A good tool to use if you don’t have access to photoshop
Essential, either use this or visual studio code. I prefer using Notepad for for this as it tends to make it easier for me to hide huge chunks of it. You’ll see what I mean in part 3.
