Director Shawn Levy gives us exactly what we’ve been asking for! A glorious return for Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) and the unexpected yet always welcome return of The Wolverine himself (Hugh Jackman). Where to even start! There were so many awesome surprises in this! We got to see Chris Evans return but not how we expected, we got Johnny Storm! Such an awesome surprise. We were also extremely happy to see Blade (Wesley Snipes), Elektra (Jennifer Garner), X-23 (Dafne Keen) and Gambit played by Channing Tatum! It’s so cool he finally got his shot. Even Henry Cavill is in this and oh boy he was a great pick for a Wolverine variant. There are so many things to list that work well in this film but Ryan Reynold’s and Hugh Jackman’s chemistry is at the very top! What a joy to watch. Ryan Reynolds fantastic comedic timing as well as his great performance and emotional depth was still very much present in this film, they were able to give a character who is constantly making light of dire circumstances something to fight for once more.
