Band Sprays Pig’s Blood At Brewery

Lexington Avenue Brewery shuts down for a few days to clean up mess left behind by a Charlotte-based band that sprayed pig’s blood during its show Sunday. “Young And In The Way“ performed for Empire Tattoo’s anniversary celebration. Photos shared on Instagram paint a gruesome picture of the scene, with a pool of blood in the back room. Photos also show proud fans spattered with it. Buncombe health officials have confirmed, it was pig’s blood. “After a private music event in our back room, we voluntarily closed and contacted the Buncombe County Health department to advise us the best cleanup procedure for our back room,“ says LAB General Manager, Benjy Greene. County experts say, while disturbing, they don’t believe the pig’s blood poses a health threat to fans who were splashed with it. The blood was confined to the back room and away from the kitchen.
