This Week in Volcano News; Taal Erupts, Nevado del Ruiz Update

The Taal volcano in the Philippines just produced a brief volcanic eruption, representing its first eruptive activity in approximately 6 months. Meanwhile in Japan, more than 250 earthquakes struck the Mount Meakandake in a fairly strong earthquake swarm. And, in Colombia, the alert level of the still erupting Nevado del Ruiz volcano was lowered.
