Zodiac leaked today (low quality and cut), but I wanted to add lyrics nonetheless. This song is absolutely beautiful, and I wish it was on the album in some form or another because it sheds light on the awful tragedy that struck Gilgo Beach in Long Island: Multiple girls, most of whom were s** workers, were m**dered and had their disassembled bodies dumped on the beach and surrounding islands. Shannan Gilbert was one of the women who went missing; her phone call to police prompted a search which ended up having multiple victims found. Gilbert still has not found justice in her passing, as police ruled her’s as accidental despite proof saying otherwise. Two of the other victims were named in this song, Megan Waterman and Amber Costello. This might be one of Lana’s darkest songs when exploring the theme on m*rder, but it’s important and would’ve fit Ocean Blvd in a way we wouldn’t’ve expected.
