In its many configurations, the police baton has been a valuable part of Law Enforcement weaponry over the last half century. This training film includes parries of attack, blocking and counter-attack techniques with footage of LASD Instructors demonstrating proper methods for the 1960’s. Also featured are amusing dramatizations of baton use against ’suspects’. Produced by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Photographic Reserve in 1963. Introduction by Sheriff Peter Pitchess.
