Bessie Smith - St. Louis Blues (1929 film) Restored using AI

“St. Louis blues“ by W. C .Handy, performed by Bessie Smith. Bessie Smith, in her only film appearance, as Bessie; members of the Fletcher Henderson Orchestra, including Joe Smith, Sidney De Paris, trumpet; James P. Johnson, piano; Kaiser Marshall, drums; and The Hall Johnson Choir. (Personnel on Camera) Recorded at the Gramercy Studio of RCA Photophone, Inc., late June 1929. I took this video from the Library of Congress website, (for educational purposes only), as I wanted to restore using AI software. Here’s what the Library of Congress says about the rights on their website: “The Library of Congress is not aware of any U.S. copyright or other restrictions in the vast majority of motion pictures in these collections. Absent any such restrictions, these materials are free to use and reuse.“ For some reason youtube keeps telling me that someone owns the rights to that and my video will be restricted. I was amazed to see that someone is selling those clips (not cheap) as stock footage, nobody should be making profit on a video that’s free and downloadable for everyone in the world. Thanks to the Library Of Congress. Here’s the link where you can find the full scene before restoration: I used Rife for frame interpolation, 4x Topaz video enhancer And Deoldify Adobe Premiere for audio synch. Hope you enjoy
