Honda Shadow VLX, Old School Chopper

Hello! I’m John, and this is my bike, Agnes Agnes is a Honda Steed (the 400cc Japanese version of the Shadow VLX) that has been engine swapped with a 600cc motor and converted to single carb. She’s still unfinished (needs some covers and some cosmetic details), but she’s perfectly rideable I bought Agnes with the purpose of making a blacked out bobber. But then I realized that every second custom bike out there is a blacked out bobber. So I decided to go the other route and make one of the flashiest shadows out there. The more flakes, gold leaf and chrome, the better For the springer to fit, a custom stem was machined, and custom bearings were ordered in order for the stock wheel to be used, so I could attach the speedo drive and run a speedometer I loved the hardtail look, but I loved my kidneys more. So I went with as I call it, a Hardly-tail setup As for the carburetor, a Mikuni BST40 was used and a custom manifold was made with equal flow on both cylinders. The bike reached 165km/h (around 105mph)
