Manuel M. Ponce | Prelude N-3 on W. Jellinghaus “1912 Manuel Ramirez“ classical guitar replicas

Steve Cowan performs Prelude No.3 in G Major by composer Manuel M. Ponce This is Wolfgang Jellinghaus’ tribute to the 1912 Manuel Ramirez (built by Santos Hernandez) that Andres Segovia played for the first 25 years of his career, the original now housed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The guitar is lightly built, with explosive response, making it incredibly easy to play. It also has a the sleek, easy neck shape for the left hand. Overall a very impressive guitar, and a meticulously well-produced tribute to one of history’s most iconic instruments.
