#fingerstyle #beatles #acoustic #classical #guitar This is my arrangement of Yesterday by The Beatles. A long time favorite of mine, I was inspired to put my own touch on it. For classical guitarists, the version everyone knows is Takemitsu’s - I look to take influence from that, while taking it forward. I include a few “Latin Jazz“ harmonies, as well as re-structure the melody in the final verse to incorporate a higher octave, harmonics, and an augmented chord, to really hit home the line “I believe in yesterday...“ - which is why I choose not to do repeats - it will lose impact with repetition. This is meant to be a small section of a larger Beatles work I am putting together featuring Hey Jude, Come Together & Eleanor Rigby.
