The interchange of cultural aspects present throughout his compositions is one of his most evident influences. In 1985, Domeniconi got under the spotlight with Koyunbaba, a remarkable masterpiece in the contemporary repertoire for guitar inspired in Turkish folk music, composed with the intent of giving some freedom in its performance. During that very same year, Domeniconi composed a set of beautiful short pieces, or preludes, clearly inspired by Manuel Maria Ponce, whom has also composed 24 Preludes for guitar back in 1920’s.
