Super Smash Bros. was the first game in the Super Smash Bros. series. It was followed by the very successful Super Smash Bros. Melee for the Nintendo GameCube and Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii. Super Smash Bros. was also the fifth best-selling game on the Nintendo 64, with over million copies sold. Nintendo Power hinted in their February 2007 issue that Super Smash Bros. may see a release on the Wii’s Virtual Console service shortly before the release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl on the Wii.
