For this one, I really concentrated only recreating what’s necessary for this version of the song, instead of trying to add in every single element present in the original song; trying to add every single element made the arrangement less cohesive as a whole. Remember folks, a room less stuff feels like a larger room! Trying to rap this one was certainly an ordeal and a half, and yes I had to resort to record line by line in separate takes. Lotus Juice’s bar-spittin’ speed really does come close or even rivals Busta Rhymes, while the speed I’m more comfortable with is much slower, probably because I come from an area where the predominant hip-hop sub-genre was Southern Hip-Hop/Crunk where they tend to have lower speed bars on average. Trying to annunciate “molecular“ at 336 BPM took around 30 tries before I gave up and took the best one 😂😅💀 Anyhow, this is definitely one of my largest, most aggressive sounding productions. It’s also, I think, one of my best vocal performances (the singing, at least) to date.
