The Before Trilogy - A Supercut

The Before trilogy explores a 20 year long relationship through the lens of three nights, 10 years apart. Watching them back to back is an intense experience. Watching 20 years of someone’s life pass by in the space of days. The years can leave us longing for a time when the world was in front of us, the possibilities endless, and yet through the medium of film more than any other, we see how distant memories are perhaps just as real now as they were then. We change and yet we stay the same, built on the beauty and the pain of the past we create the present. When we dance, when we cry, when we laugh, we create the present and the present is pretty spectacular. “It’s not the love of one other person that matters, It’s the love of life” I think that the Before trilogy is about embracing life but there’s a lot of little bullshit to overcome before you can do that and it’s easier to do with other people.
