Freddie Jackson - Make Love Easy

Freddie Jackson, from Harlem, New York was one of the stars on the RB scene in the 1980s. His hits included ’Rock Me Tonight’, ’You Are My Lady’, ’Jam Tonight’, ’Tasty Love’ and ’Nice N Slow’. He started out his career as a member of the short-lived RB group Mystic Merlin in the early 80s. He also collaborated and composed songs with fellow New Yorkers Melba Moore, Paul Laurence, and Lillo Thomas. Jackson’s trademark was sophisticated, romantic love ballads. As new trends influenced by hip-hop altered the RB music landscape in the 1990s, Jackson gradually faded from view, but has continued to release songs from time to time in a similarly low-key fashion, including an album’s worth of soulful covers in 2004 and 2006. During that time he recorded a duet with Meli’sa Morgan, singing a cover of the Roberta Flack and Donnie Hathaway song, ’Back Together Again’.
