Fight of the Year, 1984 : Jose Luis Ramirez TKO4 Edwin Rosario II

One of the shortest but greatest wars in boxing history along with Mancini/Frias, Hagler/Hearns, it’s really on that level for destruction and pace. Edwin Rosario right out the gate, dropping Ramirez with a counter right in the first 15 seconds of the fight, continuing to pummel Ramirez for the remainder of the round & the next as Ramirez was dropped again with a barrage of punches in round 2. Then Ramirez would crack back, countering Rosario in round 3 with a big left hand that had Rosario’s legs all over the place, the men would trade furiously until Ramirez finally got the 4th round TKO stoppage in the corner.
