Conditionals: Statements using “if“ and usually “would“. Zero conditional: Something that is always true. Example: IF I heat paper to 451 degrees fahrenheit, it burns. 1st conditional: Something is possible. Example: If my parents give me money I will buy a plane ticket. 2nd conditional: impossible or unlikely. Example: If I win the lottery I would buy a mansion. 3rd conditional: If something in the past would or wouldn’t have happened, then something else would or wouldn’t have happened.
