Combatting Modern Slavery: supporting survivors of domestic servitude in Ethiopia

As part of the Norad-funded Combatting Modern Slavery in Ethiopia and Ghana project, ActionAid Ethiopia and partners have been taking action to support survivors of different forms of modern slavery, including human trafficking, child labour, forced labour and domestic servitude. This short documentary shows how, thanks to training in business and life skills as well as financial assistance, over 600 women, many of whom lived through horrendous experiences of forced labour and domestic servitude in the Gulf States, have been supported to build a new life for themselves and their children on return to Ethiopia.
