Anup Sastry - Vola - Head Mounted Sideways Drum Cover

Watch in HD!!! This is a drum cover for ’Head Mounted Sideways’ by Vola. Vola is probably one of my favorite bands right now, and their album ’Witness’ has been on repeat ever since it came out. I absolutely love the production on this album, and their writing style is really interesting. There are several songs that I wanted to do a drum cover for, but I ended up landing on this one. I definitely went a bit cymbal-happy in the end, but I was having a lot of fun playing to this song. I recently changed out a bunch of gear in my studio, and I downsized a lot. I’m still using similar pre’s, but I swapped out a few room microphones and sold most of my outboard gear. This is the first video I’ve recorded with the new setup, and I’m still learning a few things about it. Either way, I’m really happy with my new setup because it’s a lot simpler. I definitely have some tweaking to do over the next few months, but I’m excited to have a simpler se
