MacIntyre’s SLC-6 Music unveils new interpretations of ‘Valley Of The Moon’ by Juan Ibañez. Originally released as the lead selection on Juan’s ‘Orbit’ collection in 2022, the track would go on to be one of the label’s standouts of the year. Now, looking to breathe new life into the track for 2023, SLC-6 Music calls upon Kamilo Sanclemente & Jossem, Jesuan M and Juani Otatti to provide their own unique versions. Making their label debut with the first interpretation of ‘Valley Of The Moon’ are Kamilo Sanclemente & Jossem. Having previously collaborated on projects for Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden and Manual Music, the Colombian duo bring their progressive excellence once again with a version that maintains the spirit of the original, while adding a deeper, dreamier vibe reminiscent of Kamilo’s work for All Day I Dream or Anjunadeep. Returning to the label for the second interpretation is Jesuan M who is fresh off a contribution to Mango Alley’s ‘Augmented 011’ collection. The fast rising Argentinean artist maintains the tough yet dreamy edge of the original, all while putting a greater emphasis on the main musical themes and a glowing break which is sure to captivate the dance floor. The release concludes with Juani Otatti returning to the label following his 2022 remix of ‘Variance’ by fellow countryman Dany Dz. The Patagonia resident opts for a delicate approach, incorporating cascading piano motifs and soulful synth phrasing for a version that should fare well during the morning hours.
