How To Defend and Counter Each Punch of the 1-2-Hook

How To Defend and Counter Each Punch of the 1-2-Hook. Tom Yankello of the  @WorldClassBoxingChannel  teaches you how to defend the 1-2 and hook. We are not defending after the 1-2 hook, rather we are defending each punch within the 1-2 hook. This is mid-range stuff. If the boxer pops a jab, you slip the jab and throw the right uppercut. Now when the right hand comes at you, you slip that punch and throw the left uppercut. When he comes back with the hook, you weave the hook and change the shoulder trajectory so he throws a right hand and left hook punch. After Tom teaches you how to defend and counter the 1-2 Hook, he then provides you with proper footwork needed to throw this punch combination. He also shows you how hips should turn while punching and where the proper positioning of your shoulders should be as you throw each punch. 0:00 Introduction 0:19 Defend and Counter 1-2-Hook 1:00 The Drill 1:50 Coaching Cue’s 3:45 You are not a bird!
