The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin

A kindergarten teacher, Elementary K, reads aloud “The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin“ by Joe Troiano. The book is illustrated by Susan Banta. The story is about one pumpkin who is different than all the other pumpkins in his patch. He is a cube instead of a sphere. At first he doesn’t like being different, but he learns it has its advantages. Spookley saves the day with is flat bottom. In the end we learn the moral, “Oh, what a garden variety makes.“
