Anti-North Korea rallies held in Seoul ahead of Trump-Kim summit in Hanoi

Two groups of South Korean protesters including North Korean defectors held anti-North Korea rallies near the U.S. embassy in Seoul and slashed the photographs of Kim Jong Un. The protest leader, Kim Sang-jin, said that U.S. President Donald Trump must not be manipulated by North Korea’s “fake peace strategies.“ The two leaders are set to meet for a second summit in Vietnam’s capital Hanoi on Wednesday and Thursday, eight months after their historic summit in Singapore, the first between a sitting U.S. president and a North Korean leader.
