’Strange Days’ -

Of all the great musicians who have cashed in their chips recently one of my favourites is the great J.J. Cale. This is from one of his later albums, uncomplicated little song, but he just nails it, guitar and voice. He wasn’t a particlularly political guy, but he wrote some great songs about issues he cared about, immigration from south of the border (Tijuana, fantastic song) and this, sort of a gentle environment song. He also wrote another one ’Stone River’ on America’s aquifers being bought by mega corporations. We miss you J.J.
