1982 My Little Pony G1 Cotton Candy Nirvana Vintage Toy Restoration - Argentina MLP Hasbro Top Toys

This My Little Pony Cotton Candy was made in 1982 by Hasbro/Top Toys in Argentina (so it’s a Nirvana pony). It made it across the Atlantic, rust and all, and I knew in an instant I had to rescue it. This video documents the long and arduous process of making that happen :) The culprit was a completely rusted-out-of-existence tail washer. The treatment, several soaks, toothpaste, oxi baths, and cream peroxide treatment in UV light. I also re-pinked its hair with dye to match the original color. Unfortunately, after much effort, the pony tail had to be exchanged for a donation one. I wouldn’t normally do this for a Nirvana pony, but this Cotton Candy is going to stay with me and was long considered lost by its previous owners.
