Russian Air Force Receives SU-30SM2 Fighter With SU-35 Super Flankers Engine | New Variant

The Russian Air Force has received a new heavyweight fighter aircraft SU-30SM2. The fighter integrates the same AL-41F-1S engine as used by the SU-35 which provides a much better thrust to weight ratio and greater fuel efficiency. For superior flight performance and increased durability. The new engine enhances a much longer service, thrust vector capability into the design. The AL-41 used by the SM2 variant has 16 percent more thrust, which allows the fighter to take off with a larger weapon payload. Alongside its new engine, the SU-30SM2 also integrates a new radar although conflicting reports suggest this could be the less capable SU-35 Irbis-E or N011M Bars-R. The radar used will reportedly give the fighter a better capability than the previous SU-30SM2 series using the KH-59 standoff missile and a variety of new bombs not previously available for the previous series. #Su-30SM2 #AL-31 #AL-31FP #AL-41#Irbis-E #IrkutskAviationPlant #KnAAPO #Komsomolsk-on-Amur #Aircraft Plant #N011#R-37M #Russian Air-
