We had rented a house situated quite romantically between the dunes. During a break of the session we were enjoying a smoke outside in the garden. The night was icy cold, stormy and clear and the edge of the Milky Way shone brightly above our heads. All at once and to our collective amazement a bunch of UFO’s shot across the night sky and for the next hour we debated excitedly over what the heck it might have been. At some point during this chat, Rainer, out of a whim, tinkled a totally compelling chord-progression on his piano, which caused an immediate stillstand of our conversation.
