Bohemian Rhapsody by Freddie Mercury / Queen - pipe organ cover by Paul Broadhurst

This fantastic song suits the pipe organ so well! One of the many joys of playing the pipe organ is the ability to play this sort of music as a soloist, without having to coax a Brian May or Roger Taylor out of the woodwork! Played on the historic “Father“ Henry Willis pipe organ of Christ Church, Birkenhead, England, UK. Built in 1888, it remains in completely its original Victorian condition. And, as on this track, the old girl is still ready to party! Massive respect to the great Freddie Mercury for creating this absolute masterpiece. There are two surprises for those who listen through to the end ... Recorded during Storm Eunice on 18 February 2022
