The Great Pretender-Freddie Mercury (Malouf Remix) [Fan Made Video] 1080p | 4:3 | | Dolby
•••[THIS IS A FAN MADE, NON OFFICIAL VIDEO]
The Great Pretender by Freddie Mercury in a Remix made by Brian Malouf, specially and exclusively made for the album “Freddie Mercury Remixes“.
As you know, it was a release made after Freddie unfortunately died.
I personally think this album is a diamond 💎 cause Jim Beach found an extraordinary way to pay tribute to Freddie Mercury after he passed away. 👑 🎤
And, which way to pay tribute can be more perfect than music, for a star ✨ like Freddie? 🤩🤩
This time my labour consisted on the entire audio and video editing
Using multiple official video sources like the official remastering of The Great Pretender, the one included on the Never Boring box set (2019) some fragments from the Hungarian Rhapsody, Live in Budapest concert and some other rare outtakes
The footage I used, were Freddie is wearing his king outfit, was taken from Live in Budapest concert and those were actually resized to 4:3 and not just cropped as originally it comes on the new official remastering.
I decided to replace those footages because this other from Budapest doesn’t have that blue-purpled color degraded, as originally it comes on the new official remastering.
I think it depends on each person, whether you like cropped or not, resized or not, color degraded or not.
I personally rather the one from Budapest without any color degraded and fully resized to 4:3.
Anyway I’ve been thinking about to make a second version of this video with a single editing but using the original live in Budapest footage, even if it’s cropped but pure as it comes, without any color degrading.
For the sound, I used the track included on the CD “Freddie Mercury Remixes“ a 1992 Mexican🇲🇽 edition released by Parlophone(EMI) and manufactured in Canada by Parlophone Canada, first and unique pressing.
The CD was digitized to PCM 16/48 @ 1.5 Mbps
And the final rendered video for youtube was Dolby Digital AC-3 Studio @ 256kbps & 48 kHz
