Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri announced on Monday that India and China had reached an agreement to resume patrolling activities along their disputed border in the region of Ladakh. Those movements had been curtailed since 2020, when a violent clash broke out between Indian and Chinese forces in the area. The announcement came just prior to the leaders of the two Asian nations meeting in Russia at the BRICS summit hosted by Vladimir Putin.
