The Real Me Bass Tab by Abraham Myers Featuring Robbie Parrish on Drums John Entwistle note for note

This is the bass tab for my cover of The Real Me by The Who. It is a note for note transcription of John Entwistle’s original bass line on the Who Song. This was not copied from anything but is an original transcription. I spent eight hours slowing down the track and finding each note. I am playing the bass, guitar and singing the vocals on this one, but the drums were supplied by an amazing drummer named Robbie Parrish. Go head over to his page and subscribe if you like brilliant drumming. Here’s the link to Robbie’s youtube page: I started by separating the original The Real Me track into drums/bass/guitar/vocal. I then painstakingly transcribed all the parts note for note, and replayed them (except for the drums). I then went into the recording booth and sang the song. I filmed this process so that you could see how the song was recorded. I then synched up the tab with the audio and this video is the result. This was a request from my good friend Victor. This is also going out to John Entwistle, one of the greatest bass players to ever walk the earth, and a fabulous person who was taken far too soon. Rest In Peace Brother. Thank you all for watching and being so supportive. I greatly appreciate it. The Real Me was written by Pete Townshend, and first performed by The Who on their 1973 album: Quadrophenia The Equipment used in this recording is as follows: Slate ML1 Microphone The software is Cubase Artist. The audio interface is an Axe IO The Bass sound was created with a Sire V7, straight into the Axe. The Guitar is a D’Angelico semi hollowbody, straight into the Axe. Amplitube 5 was used for amp emulations. (57 Fender Bandmaster) I also added a little reverb. All vocals were recorded with the Slate ML1 Ozone 9 was used for mastering. The video, and the recording, were produced by Abraham Myers.
