Judy Garland - “Silent Night”

November 6, 1937 From the MGM short film “Silent Night.” This short film was made for theaters to play, of course, during the holiday season. Unfortunately, Judy only sings one chorus of the song. Judy was backed by the Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church Choristers of Long Beach. The Conductor William Ripley Dorr later stated that “she told me she had sung in a church choir since she was very small and loved church music.” The short was rehearsed, recorded, and filmed November 6 through 8, 1937. Credit to The Judy Room website for information and recording.
