The Marrakech International Film Festival’s competition has evolved into a melting pot of diverse cultures. Over a span of seven days, fourteen films will be showcased, with two films screened each day: one at 11 AM and another in the afternoon at 3 PM. This festival has become a focal point where cinematic diversities converge and are celebrated, providing a unique opportunity to explore and appreciate cultural richness through these cinematic works.
On the first day, at 11 AM, the screening was “Excursion“ directed by Una Gunjak, a collaborative production involving Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, France, Norway, and Qatar. The film runs for 93 minutes and explores the adolescent age phase.
At 3 PM, “Bye Bye Tiberias/Tiberiade“ was showcased, directed by Lina Soualem. This film is a collaborative production of Palestine, France, Belgium, and Qatar, with a duration of 82 minutes, delving into a biographical narrative.
