Laughter On My Mind Acapella HELEN TERRY featuring BOY GEORGE

This is the vocals only of a track recorded live in studio for the B-side of Helen Terry’s first solo single, “Love Lies Lost“, after her departure from Culture Club. George is not credited on the single as a vocalist (he did get songwriting credits along with Roy Hay and Helen, and a mysterious “George“ was thanked on the sleeve). Jon Moss provided percussion to the A-side, hopefully having nearly all the band & some of their session musicians & even producer on the sleeve would send the message to fans that Helen’s departure was her own decision and she was still on friendly terms with the group. She would provide backing vocals on many subsequent Culture Club records- most notably the B-side to “God Thank You Woman“- and some of George’s solo albums as well, but she was never given the spotlight or toured with the band again.
