Reveling in the Rebels’ helplessness, Vader ordered Admiral Ozzel to delay his bombardment until fear had fully taken hold. As the Rebels scrambled to deal with the Imperials, Princess Leia realized Trios was missing as all major systems on the new cruisers were failing. The scale of betrayal began to sink in. Commanding Ozzel to obliterate the nearest cruiser, Vader sensed terror rising among the Rebels. Ozzel inquired about their next target. Ready to strike at the heart of the Rebellion, Vader answered with one word: “Hope.”
